* The wheel mounts on the end of the axles were drilled and bolted. The gear legs were inserted into the wing support structure and then a small pilot hole was drilled after the brackets were aligned with the fuselage centerline. This alignment was done with a 6' angle clamped to the flat of the bracket. A centerline was established with a cord stretched from a point dropped from the tail and the firewall center. Each angle was set at their extended tips to match the distance of the mounting flange. Both are straight. The Legs were then drilled on a press and reinserted in the support structure. The structure tubing was then drilled to size using the gear leg hole as a guide. Toe in/out will be adjusted as needed with thin washers between bracket and axle.
* To get the Matco brake calipers to fit the gear legs the mounting bracket on the leg needed the corners chamfered. The brakes, wheels and tires were mounted. They will have to come off again later to get the wheel pants brackets installed. Those did not come with the kit.
* It is good to get it on the wheels so that it is mobile. It does seem to sit rather high off the ground. There should be some lowering after the wings and engine are installed.
* Both wing's fuel tanks are sealed in with the end bulkhead installed and hoses attached. I've added a picture to show how I was able to pull the tanks out when they were so tight. Once I had to use a longer rope and lever it off the end of the spar to get enough force for it to budge. I'm done with that. There in to stay with no leaks.
