** I didn't like the larger plastic knobs on the alternate air and heater controls, so I replaced them with a bit more costly cable, but nicer knob and smoother movement. The alternate air cable was relocated to the lower left side of the instrument panel. The movement is a bit short to fully open the alternate air door, but it is enough to do what is needed. I didn't like wrapping the wire around a bolt to get it to move the flap, so I used a Piper swivel wire clamp. It makes the wire removable if needs to be.
** I rerouted the static tubes with a upward loop. This will keep any moisture that may enter the port from going down the tube and getting into the sensor.
