Sept 24-Oct 25, 2016
* A lot has been done lately. Wire was pulled to each landing light and wing tip light. Quick connectors were added and the lights mounted.
* Previously I played around with the Dynon panel cutouts, now I am trying the Garmin G3X Touch. I haven't decided which I like best but am leaning toward the Garmin. I'll explain why when I finally make a purchase.
* I got brave and cut the aileron trim tab out. I'm very happy with the way it is coming out. These images show it not quite done.
* I added the steps to each side of the fuselage with temporary hex head bolts. Shinny round head bolts will replace them soon.
* One of the bigger projects is adding the recess to the firewall. I designed the parts using SolidWorks. A powered handheld sheet metal cutter was used to cut the pieces and a brake to do the bending. The pieces will be fastened together with a fire sealer and steel cherry rivets.
* I also secured the cockpit console to the air-frame.
* Located engine mount, drilled holes and potted very large washers to the inside of fuselage.
