* a quick visit to the Lightning to check on the setting of the epoxy. All is well so I removed the tapes and shims. Couldn't resist opening the canopy. It feels really solid and smooth. Happy Face!
Epoxy is Hardened
Canopy is locked to the frame and all tapes and shims are removed

Good spacing. It is now ready for the outer skins.

It Opens
The canopy opens and stays put even without the gas struts in place
Balanced
Can't leave it like this for long. It is just balanced there
