* I've got back to the build. I've added the push/pull tubes to the wings for the aileron and corrected the holes in the trailing edge of the wings that the smaller tubes pass through.
* The service alert has been complied with. 6 layers of fiberglass, supplied by Arion, were added. They were vacuum bagged to get a good bond and finish. Once the layup was complete the hinge screw holes were re-drilled and the elevators were re-installed. The rudder was installed after that and the cables connected.
* The landing gear leg fairings were cut to length and contoured to fit the fuselage bottom and the brake and brake line at the bottom. Van's Aircraft wheel pant brackets were tried for the inner mounts but interfered with the brake lines. With them I couldn't get the lines to lay the way I liked. I wanted the fitting into the fuselage to be tucked up close to the gear leg. Nick at Arion suggested a different mount. I tried it and It has worked out well. The left wheel pant Is mounted the inner bracket and is solid and straight. To get the correct position the wheel pant is mounted with the intersection joint vertical (with the plane level). The blue tape on the floor has a line marked to align the pant with the fuselage. The cup was used to support the aft end at the correct angle.
* The aileron push tubes were added and connected. The instructions say to cut to 104.5", so I did. I should have known better. After installation of the wings I found that each tube was 1 3/8" to long. Instead of removing the wings again to get to the tube I was able to cut them off in place. This has worked out well. The ailerons are working smoothly.
