**  Was I crazy to take on my own wiring of all the components I have chosen to install? Maybe, but I am learning a lot and will know the system intimately. I had the Garmin installation, configuration, and pilot manual plus the Vertical Power manual printed out and placed in binders. That was a good thing. I did a lot of studying and marking on the pages. I made a few of my own schematics for the power system, CAN bus, auto pilot, etc. All that helped me understand SOME of the system, how it interfaces each component, and what wire went where. It is a daunting task but better if taken in small bites and checked off as each pin connection is made. Vertical Power has their way of doing things and Garmin has theirs. The trick is to tie the two together in a way that makes sense. For anyone reading this, the Garmin help phone number is 866-739-5687, g3xpert@garmin.com. Vertical Power is 920-216-3699. Both were great help and friendly. At the moment I have a big rats nest of wires and still have the Tosten grips and music inputs to wire, but there is a madness to my method. I know where I want to clamp the wire bundles when I'm done stringing from place to place, and the wires will be laced together as much as possible.

**  The back-up battery was added to the mix late and I wasn't sure where to mount it. Then I notice it was about the same size as the fuel pump. I made brackets that use the pumps upper tapped holes. That position worked out well since it is close to most of what it connects to.

** I have mounted all the antennas internally to keep the plane as clean as possible. We'll see how it works out. I can always change it later if not.

**  The instrument panel is pretty much the way I want it. What's in the pictures is a wooden practice panel. The final one will be aluminum.

**  It's been awhile since my last post, but I have not been idle. All this wiring takes time and caution.. Check, Check again, then re-check! Whew.......almost there.
