* The elevators now have plenty of up travel without hitting the rudder.
* The elevators need 15 deg down travel too. Since the hinge line was moved forward the lower stab edge needs trimmed off for clearance. This was done and the corners trimmed also. Lots of noise and dust. I always wear a resperator, gogles, hat and ear protection.
* The elevator push /pull tube was conected at the bellcranks and adjusted for proper length.
* Not pictured is the rudder. The area where the elevator needed clearance was sanded back and fresh fiberglass was applied.
* The rudder joint seams were filled with micro balloons and sanded flush
The plane got rolled over so the lower trailing edge of the stab can be shortened for elevator down travel
If I had this much up travel I would be like Spaceship One. It is upside down for edge trimming.
I need at least 15 deg down travel and a bit more for paint thickness allowance. I've got it now.
