* Drilled and mounted nose landing gear. Match drilled landing gear to engine mount.
* Cut out the access holes to the aileron bellcrank in both wings.
* Cut out the mounting spots for the landing lights for both wings. Right wing is sanded to fit the mount but the left wing still needs adjusted.
* Got both landing light receptacles fitted into the wing and ready to glass in place. The lenses were mounted with nut plates riveted in place. Two nut plates on each receptacle needed to be redone because the flat head screws were going in crooked due to a lumpy susrface. To remedy that the mating surfaces were sanded flat.
* Worked on the canopy to mount the side latches. I wanted the canopy drawn down a bit better so I am trying a different latch than what was in the kit. We'll see how it works out. It can always be cut out.
* Installed the rudder with cables attached to peddles. Each cable threaded end that joined at the turnbuckle needed trimmed off about 1/4 to 3/8 inch since they bottomed out before the cables tightened. All is good now with rudder centered as it should be. The rudder upper hinge was removed and a washer placed under the surface to kick the upper part to the right a small bit. It is now better centered with the vertical stab.

So tempting to get in and push the peddles to watch the rudder move.
