*  A lot of time has passed since my last entry but that doesn't mean things aren't getting done. The pictures don't show it but the forward landing gear strut was painted. The wing flaps were filled and sanded where needed and then painted. They are now ready to go back on the wings. Both ailerons were sanded, filled, primed with sandable primer and then sanded to 1500 grit for a nice finish. The aileron trim fairing was also completed with the same process. The ailerons have been reinstalled on the wings.

*  As with all glass airplanes, sanding and filling and sanding again and again are par for the course. That is what I have been doing for the wings. The extended tips and wing root fillets are finished. There was a lot of fill and sand at the tips to level out the recesses and reduce the humps. This takes a lot of time, especially when it is cold and you have to wait for the hanger to heat up enough to work. Needless to say, when epoxy filler is added it takes a day or so for it to set, since the heaters are not run when I'm not there.

*  I am very pleased with how everything has come out.

**  Excitement! I have ordered the engine from Continental (ECI). It is a Titan IO-340 with the low profile cold air induction and duel P-Mags.
