* On the 21st the fuel filler rings were bonded into the tanks, slid into the wings and positioned with the Filler Collar. This presented a problem when it was time to remove them. The collars unscrewed easily since they were waxed to prevent them from getting stuck but the inside skin of the wing was not. The flox pressed out and up to the skin and glued itself in place. Once I realized what had happened I slid a knife blade between the ring and skin and cut it lose. Then the tanks pulled out.
* A fillet of flox was added to the inner intersection of the tank and ring and a few places that broke through during sanding and fitting were repaired.
* The capacitance fuel level probes were bent per the instructions and then floxed in place at the ends of the tanks. This took some time to get it right since the probes are not allowed to touch the tank.
* So I would leave well enough alone, I moved on the landing gear. The nose wheel fitting slid right onto the landing strut, but the main gear fittings were too small and a bit out of round. Filing and sanding on both of the parts got things fitting.
*** My typical Tuesday And Thursdays are from 6pm to 7:30 pm or sometimes stretched to 10:30pm. (Betty does a dance class at those times). Fridays and Saturdays I usually get from 10am to 5:30pm. I work to pay the bills, (40 hours), Monday through Thursday.
